WFDSA World Congress takes place every three years in line with the expiration of the current WFDSA Chairperson. In 2017, about 500 representatives from more than 60 countries around the world participated in the event held under the theme of “Own the Future.” The worldwide industry leaders who took the stage include Philippe Jacquelinet(Chairman of the World Congress 2017 Steering Committee), Doug DeVos(Chairman of WFDSA), Magnus Brännström(Vice Chairman of WFDSA and CEO of Oriflame), Tamuna Gabilaia(Executive Director of WFDSA), Thomas Stoffmehl(CEO of SELDIA), Bertrand Piccard(Founder of Solar Impulse), and other dignitaries. For two consecutive days of workshops on Oct. 2nd and 3rd , wide-ranging topics like Y Generation, Successful Digital Transformation of the Direct Selling Model, Evolution of Consumption and Distribution, Sharing Economy, How to Success in Europe, Companies of the Future, The Future of Connected Tools in Direct Selling, Social Media and Direct Selling, and others were covered. At the Paris meeting, Magnus Brännström, the CEO of a direct selling company, Oriflame, which has head office located in Switzerland and operating business in more than 60 countries in the world, has been appointed as the new WFDSA Chairman.
